2023 International Bazaar and Potluck

Sunday, August 27th – 5:00 p.m.
Location: AIA Member Home

The Albuquerque International Association is pleased to announce the return of its popular International Bazaar and Potluck. This fun annual event is an excellent opportunity to get to know other AIA members, share and sample international foods from around the world, and shop for international items at our International Bazaar!

This is a free event for members only, but RSVPs are necessary and must be made by August 25.  You can RSVP by e-mailing info@abqinternational.org with your name, the dish you plan to bring, and the number of people attending. We will e-mail attendees the location and directions.

Potluck

Please bring an appetizer, salad, or entree (along with a serving utensil) from your favorite international destination. We will provide notecards at the event so you can write the name of the dish and the country of origin.

International Bazaar

The bazaar will be a silent auction and exotic shopping experience featuring special treasures from around the world. The AIA International Bazaar will give members a special opportunity to browse and shop for items that other members have acquired during their overseas travel adventures.

This exciting event is all made possible by the generosity of our many members who donate treasures from their extensive travels abroad. If you have special items from your international travels that you intended to give to relatives and friends but never did, the AIA encourages you to donate them to the International Bazaar. All proceeds from the bazaar will support the AIA’s mission of continuing to create a vibrant intellectual environment addressing international culture, art, global history, and foreign affairs.

How to Donate:  If you wish to donate an item for the International Bazaar, please contact Fran A’Hern Smith at 505-321-6892 or at franahernsmith@gmail.com with the international items you plan to donate. Please let her know the name of the item, its country of origin and estimated retail dollar value. All donations must be received by August 21.
